2. Scope of this policy
This policy applies to personal data we collect when you:
- visit our marketing website at this domain;
- request a demo or contact us by email or form;
- use the authenticated DYNVOLT SCADA dashboard as an operator or administrator.
3. What data we collect
3.1 Information you provide
- Contact details — name, business email, company, phone number, and any message you send through the demo form or by email.
- Account details — username and hashed password for platform users, plus role and assigned site(s).
3.2 Information we collect automatically
- Technical data — IP address, browser and device type, operating system, and referring URL. This is used for security, debugging, and fraud prevention.
- Usage data — pages visited, time spent, and interactions, collected via Google Analytics only if you grant analytics consent.
3.3 Operational telemetry
Inside the authenticated platform we process operational data from your solar site (inverter readings, sensor data, alarm events). This is not personal data, but is tied to the account of the operator who views or acts on it.
4. Why we process your data (legal basis)
- Responding to inquiries and demo requests — legitimate interest and, where applicable, steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract.
- Providing the platform — performance of the contract with your organisation.
- Security, fraud prevention, and troubleshooting — legitimate interest in keeping the service safe and reliable.
- Analytics cookies — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Legal obligations — compliance with applicable law, including responding to lawful requests from authorities.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We use two categories of cookies:
- Essential cookies — required for authentication, security, and core site functions. These are always active; the site cannot work without them.
- Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic and help us improve the site. Loaded only after you click "Accept all" or enable analytics in the consent banner.
You can change your choice at any time using the link in the footer, or by clearing cookies in your browser.
6. Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with:
- Service providers acting on our instructions — hosting, database, email delivery, and analytics providers — bound by written data processing terms.
- Your organisation if you use the platform on its behalf (e.g. your administrator can see your account activity).
- Authorities where required by law or to protect our rights.
7. International transfers
Some of our providers are located outside the European Economic Area. When we transfer data outside the EEA we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. How long we keep your data
- Contact and demo requests — up to 24 months after the last interaction, unless we have an ongoing business relationship.
- Platform accounts — for the duration of the contract with your organisation plus up to 12 months, unless a longer period is required by law.
- Analytics data — retained according to the Google Analytics retention period we have configured.
- Server logs — typically up to 90 days.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request deletion ("right to be forgotten") where applicable;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing;
- lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@dynvolt.com. We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on a request.
10. Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords, role-based access control, and network segmentation between the public website and the operational SCADA environment. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The "Last updated" date above tells you when we last revised it. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
12. Contact
